How Ozone Odor Removal Works

Sprays and cleaning products mask odors. Ozone destroys them.

Our Bio3Blaster VH Tornado is a commercial ozone generator producing 80,000 mg/h of ozone with an 1,850 CFM industrial blower. This is restoration-contractor equipment hand-built in Ohio, not a consumer air purifier.

Here's what happens during a treatment:

  1. We assess your space. Tell us about the odor, the area, and your timeline. We'll give you a straightforward quote.
  2. We place the equipment and seal the space. The Bio3Blaster fills the area with ozone, a highly reactive gas that breaks apart odor-causing molecules at the atomic level.
  3. Ozone reaches where cleaning can't. It penetrates drywall, carpet padding, HVAC ductwork, subflooring, upholstery, and every surface where odors hide.
  4. The space returns to normal. Ozone converts back to regular oxygen within 30 to 60 minutes after treatment. No chemicals applied to your surfaces. No residue left behind.

One treatment. Permanent results. The odor doesn't come back because the source is eliminated at the molecular level.

Odors We Eliminate

Every odor has a source. We treat the source, not the symptom.

Why St. Louis Trusts Us

Founded by a Real Estate Professional

Kyle Weindel, a licensed St. Louis real estate agent and investor, started this business after watching odors kill deals. Two listings received negative feedback about smell. After ozone treatment, both homes sold the following weekend. We understand the urgency because we work in that world every day.

Professional-Grade Equipment

We use the Bio3Blaster VH Tornado with 80,000 mg/h verified ozone output and an 1,850 CFM industrial blower. This is restoration-contractor equipment hand-built in Ohio, not a consumer air purifier off Amazon.

Set-and-Leave Treatment

We place the equipment, seal the space, and let ozone do the work. No harsh chemicals applied to surfaces. No residue left behind. Ozone converts back to regular oxygen within 30 to 60 minutes, leaving zero residue behind.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does ozone odor removal work?

Ozone (O3) is an unstable oxygen molecule that breaks apart on contact with odor-causing compounds. When we place the Bio3Blaster in your space and seal it, the machine floods the area with ozone at 80,000 mg/h. The ozone attaches to smoke particles, pet urine compounds, mold spores, and bacteria, then destroys them at the molecular level. Within 30 to 60 minutes after treatment, the remaining ozone converts back to regular oxygen with zero residue left behind.

Is ozone treatment safe for my home and family?

Yes. The space must be unoccupied during treatment, including pets and plants. Once the ozone converts back to oxygen (typically 30 to 60 minutes after we shut down the machine), the space is completely safe to re-enter. There are no chemicals applied to surfaces, no sprays, and nothing left behind. We'll let you know exactly when it's safe to return.

How much does professional odor removal cost?

Most residential treatments run between $200 and $500 depending on the size of the space and the severity of the odor. Vehicles are typically less. We provide free estimates so you'll know the exact cost before we start. Call us at (314) 370-1546 or fill out the form on our Book a Service page.

How long does the treatment take?

Treatments can vary from 2 to 24 hours hours depending on the size of the space and how deeply the odor has penetrated. We set up the equipment and let the ozone do the work. You don't need to be home during treatment.

Will the odor come back after treatment?

Ozone eliminates odors at the molecular level, so the results are permanent, but only if the source has been fully addressed before we arrive. That means the contaminated materials need to be cleaned, treated, painted over, or replaced first. If carpet padding is saturated with pet urine, it needs to come out. If smoke-damaged drywall hasn't been sealed or primed, the odor is still trapped in the material. We handle the air and surfaces with ozone, but the physical source work needs to happen before our treatment. We're happy to walk you through what needs to be done when we give your free estimate.

Can you remove cigarette smoke smell from a house?

Yes. Cigarette and cigar smoke is one of our most common jobs. Smoke particles embed in drywall, carpet, padding, HVAC ducts, and subfloor over time. Surface cleaning and air fresheners can't reach those layers. Our ozone treatment penetrates the entire space, reaching the same places the smoke reached. For heavy smoker homes, we may recommend multiple treatments for full elimination.
